Ah, the things I do for the greater good!

In my ongoing efforts to create a place where women can go (want to go) to take care of themselves, to take care of there bodies and souls, I do a lot of research.  Sometimes it doesn’t yield much, but sometimes it yields fabulous!!!

Today, I am suffering from an abundance of riches–hey, someone has to do it!  Here is how my day went:

  • Woke up refreshed and feeling good (at 4am, that was the bad part) because I started our RESULTS program and exercise and healthy eating just make you feel good
  • Met with the CEO of House Boss Body to discuss carrying her all natural bath and body products in our club.  Yummy yummy yummy.
  • Went home to find my shipment of Black Box Cosmetics (skin care for the face) sitting on the counter.
  • So…into the shower to take all my lotions and potions on a test run.
  • LOVE IT ALL!! My face and body are happy happy happy…and all the products are all natural without any of the nasty parabens or petroleum products you find in so any products today
  • So, as I am making dinner with my daughter Rachael (she loves to make & eat salad!), the holistic chef I am starting to work with stops by with food.
  • OMG.  Seriously, Julie Garren is amazing.  I can’t wait to figure out how to bring her wonderful creations to our members. (of course you can contact her directly if you would like her to cook for you!)

Now I am back at the gym, and I am feeling the wellness!  Should that be our new tag line at elements?  “Feel the wellness”

(just ate one of Julie’s “Peanut Butter Flax Nuggets” and some cherries that were left over from the “Balsamic Cherry Hazelnut Quinoa” ….happy happy happy)

What is Sha-Bin LLC?

Sha-Bin LLC logo, owned by Christine FantoniSha-Bin LLC is the name of my new company. This is the umbrella under which I will be re-lauching myself as (drum roll please): myself. My new elements for women will operate under this name as will any other great ideas I may have.

The name Sha-Bin comes from my daughters’ names. They were both adopted from China and their nicknames while they were living in China were “Sha-Sha” and “Bin-Bin”. So, to honor them and the legacy I want to leave them, I created Sha-Bin LLC.
I guess I had better kick some butt!

Little gray dress…

Friday, April 9th, 2010

As I stated in my first post, I have selected 3 words that will guide my goals for the year: Wellness, Brand, and Organization. I am pleased to say that I am keeping those words/goals in mind each day and have made progress towards each. However, I lack consistency…and consistency is a key element of each goal (what is a brand if not a consistent image; what is wellness but the result of constant good habits; and without consistency organization is just the act of cleaning up a mess again and again). Now, I do have a goal to which these three words play a role so I came up with something to help me focus on that goal: a little gray dress.
I see an image of myself wearing this little gray dress (sexy but still all business!) at the ribbon cutting ceremony of my new woman’s fitness club (elements for women). For me to reach this goal I will have had to been successful building my brand, building better wellness (or else the dress won’t fit!) and organizing a whole bunch of stuff.
It is actually helping. I think it is speaking directly to the ‘elephant’ (read “Switch” by Chip Heath and Dan Heath if don’t know who the ‘elephant’ is).

Wiring Yourself for Success

Check out Chris Brogan’s article outlining an alternative to New Year’s resolutions: you start with three words and use them to build a framework to meet your goals for the year. I’m going to give this a try! 2010 should be full of changes for me and I want to make the most of it. My first pass at my 3 words are: BRAND, WELLNESS, and ORGANIZE.
